Hurray! Nice one on the eleven months. Its hardest when it would be so easy. A while back you did a comic about you did a comic about booze, changing your relationship with it etc... it was really inspiring... honest, balanced, light, funny, sincere but not mawkishly finger waggy or doom laden... oh man lots of words there but yeah it was GREAT. I'm sure I could find it by scrolling back through the insta but if you fancied posting it here again then that would be super. Or you could just tell me to not be such a lazy bastard and scroll down insta a bit haha. WHATEVER, it was GOOD. Best to ya!
Thanks Luke! Totally, it often does feel like it's the decision of a moment, but I guess it's stringing those moments together, as they all say!
That's incredibly kind, thank you. I'm in fact planning to re-post and hopefully add to that booze comic here in a month, when I'll have done a year without it. Thank you for remembering it, that was lovely to read. HAHA lazy bastard indeed - it's EXHAUSTING to scroll back through instagram, don't I know it ;-) !!
Totes hilare. Ahh haven’t we all been caught out doing the porta loo squat whilst the opening strains of our favourite song, dammit! You’re going to throw rocks at me but I’ve seen Springsteen play at Glastonbury many moons ago, I may or may not have wandered off mid set to catch Susanne Vega at the Acoustic stage. I know!!! Sacrilege. I need taking in hand. Matt’s been educating me in the way of the Boss.
I'm appalled Lynne-os and am readying rocks as we speak ;-) - I know, sometimes the lure of something else (or the relative comfort of the tent) is strong!!! xx
LOL that would have been fun, if it hadn’t been for the fact I am terrified of people being angry with me 😵💫. It’s a problem I know. Maybe doing something like that would cure me ?? 🫣
You have convinced me. Sober it is the next time I attend a concert!
My last concert experience was a classical one and despite having drunk a glass of Prosecco I did not light up ten cigarettes and didn’t have to go to the loo. I’m good like that. Also at holding it in if porta loo or any communal loo is the option. 🫣
And who wouldn’t want to remember everything (about the performance) when the boss is on the stage I say😎! (A lot of people apparently.. 🙄)
Sidsel it really made me laugh just now imagining someone going to a classical concert, having one prosecco and going entirely off the rails - I really want you to do that now!!!
Yes, he's so remarkable and wonderful - I always remember the feelings, but this time I can remember the details!!
GLORIOUS! So jealous you went but glad you had a fab time. I feel like you get a lot for your ££ at a boss gig. I found out my brother also had a ticket, so living through everyone else on this occasion.
Well done, Tor. I've seen Bruce before but I don't know if I can't remember it because I was drunk or because I just don't remember ANYTHING anymore. Sigh.
Particularly enjoyed the drawing of you with a million cigarettes, and also the sadly ever-so-recognisable Portaloo moment <3
Thanks dude! I didn't have to go ONCE!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
saaaaame

Mea culpa I didn’t realise that I was in the presence of such greatness, oh the callowness of youth. Matt has made me see the error of my ways.
