Haha - love this Tor! You and Tintin sharing the telescope - cute! move overrr, no, you move overrr!! Although maybe it was more os a frisson vibe!
This makes me think about your recent post about pastiches too. You seem to get more than just inspiration and enjoyment from other people's creative work, it's almost like you are starting a conversation with them or that communication you talk about. Riffing with them across the ages. I like that idea! It's nice to think we can bring something fresh to a piece of art that has been around for years, just by looking and thinking about it with our unique perspective of the world!
I think that's true and well put Els! Looking at Picasso's many studies of Las Meninas you see how much valuable art he's created from an existing painting - it's nice to think of it as a conversation with the past!
First of all I didn’t expect that ending! It’s really interesting how you view your work and why you make it - from reading your posts on here I definitely get the impression that you are very motivated by what interests and amuses you, and that the rest of us reap the brilliant benefits of that!
Thank you Nicola! (I didn't anticipate the ending at first either ;-) ) - that's a good way of putting it, I do think those are my motivations. And thank you very much for saying you enjoy the results!! ❤️

*big eyes at last three Tintin panels*
Big... EROTIC eyes??
🤣 That sudden side step of an ending from Picasso & Valasquez to Tintin & Haddock 🤣
Haha thanks Nanette - from the sublime to the very ridiculous!!
Excellent! "I'll call Haddock" just had me snort coffee up my nostrils
I guess any non-Tintin readers might think that bit is a weird fetish for a fish-inclusive three-way!
Brilliant as usual Tor … interesting also…. Very good idea!!! Xx
Thank you dear E! xxx
Tor!!!!! Omg 😂😂😂😂
This was SO good:) I love the wonky Picasso painting AND your Tintin/Tor story. They make perfect company;)
Haha thanks Luke!
