I just thought, when water gets inside stones through cracks and becomes ice, it BREAKS the stone - so that would make a more accurate tagline, but would take up too much of the poster which is required for Vanilla and his bike!
Very true. Apparently that phenomenon is called 'frost wedging' (I just googled it of course). Frost Wedging really ought to be the name of the girl's disapproving father in the movie.
Thanks Joe! Haha yes I wondered briefly after I wrote this if I was missing some physics thing where ice at a certain temperature blah blah - and then watched a nature doc last night that had a *brinicle* in it!! Have you heard of those, I had not!!
As usual I absolutely love this. Also didn't you already write a comic with the most terrifying snowman ever?? I'm definitely going to be watching True Detective - I can't wait for this new series, S1 was so important in terms of Matthew McConaughey's singular tortured curl. I think about it often. The curl. Anyway, surely you're also watching Fargo !!! Another excellent crime in the snow series. Xxx
Thanks Katie, hahaaa thanks for remembering - well he was a lovelorn snowman, and his love made him angry!
I can't remember/didn't notice the curl!!! I remember thinking it wasn't his fittest hour, which saddens me when he's not doing his job of world's handsomest man, but I know sometimes he has to get serious. Going to look up the curl!
Yes, I've just finished Fargo! I liked it a lot, and it was definitely dark and scary!! xxx
Great comic! I love the cozy athmosphere of oddeley. What is the snowman-gang up to?
I watched The Thing for the first time a year back. Must admit the suspense was killing me (though there was not much action then, was it?)…
Thank you! I'm not sure what the gang is up to, I need to work that out!
Yes it was definitely suspenseful, a lot of wondering when/who was going to jump out and be scary next!!
This is like seeing the unpublished Calvin & Hobbes or Peanuts!! An Oddleigh still in its baby form... Love it! And those snowmen!! Xxx
Haha thanks Els!! xxx
Brilliant, Tor - and that tagline is 👌you don’t melt *anything* by adding ice...

😂😂 It absolutely should be!! Or could be a hyphenated surname, so he's disapproving AND posh? Lord Frost-Wedging.
👌 Branston Frost-Wedging
NAILED IT 💪🏻
