This evening at 8pm GMT, Hattie and I will be trying out Substack Live and talking about all things creative to mark the publication of my book Boss of the Underworld. Neither Hattie nor I have done a Substack Live before, so we are just hoping it works and that we’ll see a friendly face (or read a friendly name, however it works!) here as well.
If you’d like to join us, just make sure you’ve downloaded the Substack app and turned on push notifications, and you should get an alert when we go live.
This Sunday March 23rd, is the first Yo Comics Fair! It’s a free comics fair for and by kids, and if you are in London or are London-adjacent with any young people in tow, I think it’s going to be a good day out! I’ll be tabling along with Gary Northfield, Marc Jackson, Jim Medway, Neill Cameron and more, and there’ll be lots of kids with their own comics there too.
Lastly, here’s a short comic about a story my friend Alice told me a couple of weeks ago.
Alice was last seen comforting herself that the tarantula was unlikely to have survived the winter, but with their nice hairy coats I WOULDN’T BE SO SURE MY CHUM!!!
See you (hopefully!) this evening at 8pm GMT! Thanks for reading!
Omg the tarantula on the loose, 😱i would be selling up and moving! But I do wonder what style coat is in this winter.
Did I spy a wee bairn knowingly push the biscuits away from you in that comic? Good luck with all the things - Graphic Novel looks great (you have earned those biscuits), definitely picking it up for Frances!
