Happy Sunday, fellow November-dwellers! I have been wrestling once more with bigger projects, but did get up to Thought Bubble comics convention in Harrogate earlier this month. I had a good time sharing with my friend and fellow cartoonist Marc Jackson, and sold out the copies of The Temptation of Mr Rose which I had taken up. I’m getting a reprint, hopefully this week or the next, and will post here when they are back in my online shop.
I thought I would post a comic I have stalled on, having been quite excited about it to begin with back in 2020. It marks the third comic I have made about this painting, Uccello’s Saint George and the Dragon. It’s just such a weird, fun painting which begs to be explored!
I maybe haven’t quite nailed the ending, but any impressions welcome!
Does the ending make sense?? Thanks for reading, until soon!
Most excellent, Tor!! I totally got the ending!! You could get totally lost in one of Picasso’s Cubist paintings with a tour like this!!
Love it - the art historian buff, gormless students, George and carnage!
Do I detect a Douanier Rousseau tiger emerging?
