I managed 6!!

Out of 100!!

I was excited to get on board with Ella’s 100 day drawing challenge, #gatherfiltermake100 - but I have pretty much ground to a halt after six days.

To be fair to me, I made the challenge hard for myself by doing multiple panel cartoons. Also, I had three days in Warwick (which were excellent) doing school visits, which used up a lot of energy - one way and another, the challenge fell by the wayside. But here’s a round-up of how far I did get.

I’ve decided not to be sad that it’s over, but be happy it happened.

In other “news”, I’m working on a new idea which I’m feeling cautiously happy about, and in my own time starting to colour an older idea for a Maurice Sendak homage/parody, Where the Old Wild Things Are. Here is a spread in progress - I’m still working on this, and it’s been really fun trying to nod to the drawings and colours of one of the BEST books ever!
