I’m organising ideas and exercises about writing at the moment, and just came across this comic that I made in one of Tom Hart’s classes at SAW. The idea behind it was to make a 10-panel comic which told a simple story. Then we photocopied it, cut up the panels and rearranged them in order to tell a completely different story - changing none of the panels and taking nothing away.
Mine was held to be a bit of a cheat as the ending stayed the same in both stories - a fair point! But rereading it now made me laugh, it’s very stupid and reminds me of a fun day.
Oh god TOR you are such a GENIUS I LOVE YOU!
Ingenious and very funny! I'm curious about how you made it - did you focus on one story first and then see what happened when you rearranged it? Or did you come up with a scene that had the potential for two different versions? I'd love to have a go at this!
