In September last year I mentioned reading the Sequential Artists’ Substack post about Sarah Glidden and how she’d made a comic inserting herself into her favourite novel, The Shipping News. And I made a page with me in a Tintin story.
So now I’ve done another one - I’m not sure what book this page is from, I just found it in Google Images, and I can’t remember it myself. Does anyone recognise this?
It was going to be about my comic going into the sea and the futility of writing comics while travelling, and instead ended up being about my dog Rusty menacing Tintin’s dog Snowy. Comics have a life of their own!
Also, I don’t know what an “emotional mystery” is - all emotions being quite mysterious really! But now I want to write that comic.
Magnifique! (Or possibly magnifiek!) I'm not sure where Snowy is safer - balancing on the railing with the high risk of falling to his watery grave or dealing with the demented Rusty on deck!
Love it!! You didn’t tell us it was a romance as well!!
